Dear Volunteers,

Happy fall! With the help of volunteers like you, Meals on Wheels in Greater New Brunswick continues to be an important lifeline for our community’s homebound seniors during these challenging times. This summer, our organization provided nearly 2,000 emergency meals to individuals in need. We also delivered seven weeks of fresh produce to our clients.

As we move into the fall and winter months, we continue our important work and applaud the service of new and old volunteers who make this work possible. As always, thank you for your continued support of our organization and clients. We value you and hope to see you all soon. Please read the rest of our fall newsletter to learn updates on our clients and services.

Our volunteers delivered 1,100 emergency meals in September during National Preparedness Month. Each year, National Preparedness Month recognizes the need for family and community disaster planning. This year, we understand the need for emergency preparedness like never before as our nation and organization continue to respond to COVID-19.

Call for Selfies and Volunteer Pictures!

Do you enjoy taking selfies, videos, and group photographs while out on delivery? MOWGNB wants to see your snaps, even if your smiles are hidden behind your masks for now!

As we expand our digital media presence, we hope to feature volunteers like you on our website and social media pages. So next time you are out on a run, make sure to take some photos and email them to mowgnb@aol.com. If you haven’t done so already, please also sign MOWGNB’s volunteer photo release form (email Executive Director Shareka Fitz to obtain a release form).

Happy 92nd Birthday, Ms. Jones!
