Delivering Nutritious Meals to Seniors Since 1973
Dear Volunteers,
As the days grow longer and summer begins to bloom around us, we reflect on the many magical moments of connection that have carried us through the year so far.
This spring was filled with joy — from colorful crafts made by seniors at our Friendly Visit session to the heartfelt deliveries during our March for Meals campaign, and the unforgettable evening we shared at our Royal Garden Dinner Dance Celebration. Each event was a reminder of the power of community and the impact we can make when we come together with purpose and compassion.
Every smile exchanged, every meal delivered, and every kind word spoken is because of you — our volunteers, donors, and supporters. You are the reason we’re able to reach the most vulnerable members of our community with care, dignity, and a human connection that goes far beyond food.
Whether you’ve spent time delivering meals, joined us at an event, made a contribution, or simply shared our story — thank you. You are part of this mission.
Wishing you a summer filled with warmth, rest, and community.

This May, we hosted our Royal Garden Dinner Dance Fundraiser, and it was a magical evening of music, community, and generosity. Guests danced under twinkling lights, enjoyed delicious fare, and helped raise critical funds to support our mission.
To everyone who joined us for our Royal Garden Dinner Dance Fundraiser—thank you from the bottom of our hearts! It was made possible by your support, your spirit, and your sparkle.
We’re still floating from the joy. Check out our website for highlights from the event and sponsors.
We truly couldn’t do it without each and every one of you.

This February, we hosted a joyful Friendly Visit Session at one of the senior housing communities we serve.
Residents gathered to create whimsical gnomes in a cheerful arts & crafts workshop led by Margaret Driscoll, a master crafter who generously donated all the supplies and her time.
The session was open to all residents and filled the room with laughter, creativity, and connection. We’re so grateful to Margaret and all who participated in making this a meaningful afternoon.

As part of our March for Meals campaign, we were honored to welcome Mayor Jim Cahill as our Community Champion.
In a special show of support, the mayor hand-delivered meals to a dozen Meals on Wheels clients. The smiles, stories, and heartfelt gratitude from our recipients made the day truly memorable.

If you’d like to join Meals on Wheels in Greater New Brunswick as a volunteer for group visits or donate bingo prizes, please don’t hesitate to contact the Meals on Wheels office at mowgnb@aol.com.
Please do not leave meals at the client’s door.
Meals on Wheels is more than a meal.
It’s also a safety check!
